The word ‘integrity’ is often used and seldom achieved. The word is often used in the context of morality and honest but to me there is an additional meaning. In the concept of integrity there is an unsaid interaction between You — Me — Others and comprises both Doing and —- Saying.
Integrity means doing what you say you will do, what you must do and what others expect you to do. So do it, just do it!
That means we, as human beings, know what is expected of us at all levels. In the work environment, at home and with friends we know what is expected of us to do and do properly. It isn’t a matter of being told, it is intuitive. We know and we know what’s right.
Doing what’s right isn’t necessarily easy but in many ways it’s the simplest way to get by. When you do what you should you find happiness comes in abundance.
When you duck your responsibilities, unhappiness follows.
Ever wondered about the lazy colleague? Wondered why they don’t seem to care? Believe me that short changing your career or work environment doesn’t have lasting value. Lazy people are unhappy. Busy, hard working people reap joy, emotionally and in returns in life and career.
