Last week we spoke about ‘The Law of Love’ and I suggested that love is the key to everything. This week I want to suggest that all of us are Leaders …
The Law of Leadership
If you are in a leadership role then this is important. If not yet a leader then its vital to create your ‘Leadership potential’, meaning acting as if you are a leader. You may not be in a leadership role but by acting, dressing and speaking as if you are, leadership won’t be far behind.
Think and behave as if you have what you want. Imagine you have it now. Act accordingly (clothes, behavior, actions, hair). In other words ‘Dress for success and show up’.
‘Dress for success and show up’.
Some ‘Leadership Principles’ at work: Ensure you contribute to the following things were you work:
- Infrastructure development
Being a leader requires accountability and much of the accountability requires going the extra mile. Included in being accountable are some important rules:
- Follow through on promises and contracts
- Hold yourself and junior staff to account
- Set and meet deadlines
- Read the meeting minutes and action those things you promised
- Be proactive
- Do more than expected
- Complete some tasks ahead of deadline
Next week we consider ‘The Law of Daily Living,’ because its important to show up daily and give it your best every day.
